I finally got a chance to meet Lavender Lady on the weekend at Art in the Open and thank her for the lavender she brought me while I was away on vacation. I also finally found out her name - SHARON! (although I think she prefers Lavender Lady - a big thank you again for your thoughtfulness).

We closed up shop a bit early this past weekend at Art in the Open and will do so again this weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience but we are learning how to sail and so far it is my new favourite hobby! Lake Ontario was amazing last weekend and a great day for cruising.

We have sold out of all of our bug spray (thanks to the long weekend) but will have some more soon. Also, it can only be bought at Art in the Open and is not available online. Sorry!

Back from our holiday!

We are back in business on our website - sorry for the inconvenience of being temporarily closed! Yesterday at the Brampton Art in the Open there were lots of different events going on including the Classic Cars event which was fun. Thank you thank you thank you to the lady who keeps bringing me lavender - this time leaving it for me while I was on holiday.

Some of you have asked about my bug off soap and if it is available in a spray. It is, and it will be available at the Art in the Open, but not on our website (sorry!).

Rain, Rain, Go Away........

Another great morning at Brampton Art in the Open...but then...pouring rain! Just a reminder that Pura Vida Spa...ahh! WILL NOT BE AT ART IN THE OPEN for the next two Saturdays (July 3rd and 10th). We will return on Saturday, July 17th.

Brampton Art in the Open

There were a lot of people at Art in the Open this past weekend and the Brampton Farmer's Market (who knew people got up that early on a Saturday!). We got to meet a lot of very nice customers. Thank you very much to the Lavender lady who went all the way home, came back, and gave me fresh lavender from her garden! I also enjoyed talking it up with new customer Melissa and her son Dante who kept me very entertained (and let me know what he did and did not like!). Hoping every Saturday this summer will be just as fun!!!

All Natural Bug Repellent Soap

I just came back from a long weekend up North spending it with my cousin and her newborn twins! (too cute)....and man oh man are the mosquitoes up there massive (as my cousin's husband said "They're definitely not city mosquitoes!). Inspired by my weekend and my future trips up there, I just made a BUGG OFF soap for my next visit up North (and any other cottage visits this summer). This soap is infused with eight different essential oils that repel bugs. I can smell why they will keep the bugs at bay...that citronella is powerful stuff! I can't wait to use it and go visit
