Want to learn how to make cold processed soap?

Semi-Private Group (four people maximum). Demonstration of how to make soap and includes take home of Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) which is needed to make soap, basic soap making recipe and a list of resources that you can use to help start your new hobby. 1.5 hours $40.00+ HST.

Art in the Open

Art in the Open has kicked off for the summer and I want to thank everyone for supporting Pura Vida Spa...ahh! on opening day - we had a great day!

Last week at the market I had several people ask me if I would do a class on how to make soap and after giving it some thought, I think it would be a great idea! I will be posting more information this weekend at the market for anyone who would like to learn. I will also post it here once I have all the details finalized.

I just bought a juicer and decided that the next batch of soap I make will be made with juiced cucumber - how is that for a summerlicious soap!

Milton Spring Craft Show

What a beautiful, sunny, warm Saturday on April 30 at the Milton spring craft show! (followed by a cold and miserable, rainy Sunday, May 1st). No matter, we had a great time at the fair - our first time. It was fun to meet all the vendors and see some familiar faces from other craft shows that we have done. Our next show will be at Art in the Park in Windsor, Ontario the first weekend in June.
